Overview
Ilam Ghar ("we", "us", "our") operates the website ilamghar.online (the "Site"). This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices visitors ("you") have.
Information we collect
Information you provide
The Site does not require sign-up. You can browse lessons, past papers, news, and blog entries without creating an account. If you contact us by email or WhatsApp, we retain that correspondence to respond.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we record basic server log data (timestamp, referring page, user agent). We additionally record anonymised download events for PDF files (a salted one-way hash of your IP address, user agent, and referer). We never store raw IP addresses.
Cookies
We may set a small number of first-party cookies required for basic site operation. If administrators are signed in to the CMS at /cms, a session cookie is set there; visitors never receive a CMS cookie.
Analytics
If Google Tag Manager is configured on the Site, we load Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics on public pages. These services may set cookies and collect information about your visit in accordance with their own privacy policies. GTM and Analytics are never loaded on /cms.
Advertising
We may display advertising from Google AdSense or similar networks on public pages. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
Data we do not collect
- Passwords for students (students do not have accounts).
- Payment information (everything on the Site is free).
- Biometrics, location, or contact lists.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share minimal technical data with the analytics and advertising providers described above, and only where those services are enabled.
Children's privacy
The Site is designed for school and college students in Pakistan. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or ask us to correct it. Write to us using the details on the Contact page.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time. Material changes will be noted with an updated "Last updated" date at the top.
