
Punjab University Announces Summer Vacations
May 19, 2026University of the Punjab has announced summer vacations for its teaching departments, institutes, centers, constituent colleges, and schools from June 1 to August 28, 2026, according to an official notification issued by the registrar’s office.
The notification stated that academic departments across the university will remain closed during the vacation period, while administrative staff will continue performing duties as usual.
The university administration has also directed departments to complete courses and examinations of final semester BS programs, including eighth semester classes, before the start of the summer break.
According to the notification, departments, institutes, centers, constituent colleges, and schools facing special academic requirements or circumstances may still conduct classes and examinations for outgoing sessions during the holidays after obtaining prior approval from the vice chancellor.
The notification was issued by the Academic Branch (Record Section) of the university on May 18 and circulated to faculty deans, department heads, principals, and administrative offices for implementation.
