
Private Schools in Islamabad Announce Eid ul Azha and Summer Holidays
May 22, 2026Private schools and colleges in Islamabad have announced holidays for the summer break, with institutions set to remain closed from May 25 to July 31.
A notification issued by the Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority said all private educational institutions operating within Islamabad Capital Territory will observe summer vacations during the period.
According to the notice, academic activities will resume from Monday, August 3.
The directive was issued under the Islamabad Capital Territory Private Educational Institutions Act, 2013, and applies to private schools and colleges falling under the regulator’s jurisdiction.
The announcement gives clarity to parents and students ahead of the extended break as educational institutions begin wrapping up academic activities before the new session resumes in August.
With the holiday schedule now formally notified, private institutions in the federal capital are expected to follow the closure timeline set by the regulator and reopen after the summer vacation period ends.
